Battering Ram Romans - summer training Sun 21 Jan
Roman training started with a successful field test of the new battering ram on the neighbor's gate.
Roman experimental archaeology field testing Lachlan's new ax that was going pretty good until it needed a running repair (using Preston's ax as a hammer), and ended when Lucius accidentally almost skewered him. Followed by an epic sword fight training for Baldrick's Big Day Out where my phone battery died first :(
ROMAN TRAINING is not always soldiers bashing heck out of each other. Sometimes we let the Cretan Archers have some fun shooting live targets by trying to take out a Roman scouting party before they get within sword range. The girls did a great job!
