Roman Film Shoot
The club was invited to appear as extras in a new film being shot in New Zealand about the Roman Empire during December 2015. The details are subject to confidentiality until the film comes out, possibly mid-2016. Shooting took place out on location where a full-sized Roman army camp had been constructed. Members played Roman soldiers, Praetorian Guards, fierce barbarians, Camp followers (including Jason and Lisa), and a Greek doctor played by Dave. It was a heck of a lot of fun.
New club members will be offered the opportunity to appear in future film shoots.

The following articles report on some aspects of this Roman project, apparently incorporating groundbreaking interactive television technology for the fight scenes and titled "13 Days of Blood" about the 13-day-long Gladiator Games held by the bloodthirsty emperor Commodus who fought in the Roman Coliseum as a gladiator.
